Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Greenly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdemir Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Valdemir Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenly doesn't manage to clinch there - Garcia circles away.
Greenly fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Greenly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Greenly takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Garcia scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Brian Greenly has been cut.

Greenly tries to bum rush Garcia with a series of wild strikes but Garcia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Garcia is keen to just control but Greenly is a slippery customer.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Garcia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Greenly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Greenly is looking to regain half guard here but Garcia keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Greenly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Greenly is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Greenly working over Garcia with some ground and pound. Garcia looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Garcia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Greenly works his way into full mount!

Greenly has control of Garcia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Garcia regains control of the situation pretty easily.
