The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate misses with a takedown
and Belvedere counters with a nice uppercut.
Belvedere throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tate counters by moving into the clinch.
Belvedere wants to break free but Tate has control.
Tate gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tate is keen to just control but Belvedere is a slippery customer.
Tate wants to work for an arm triangle but Belvedere is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tate is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Belvedere doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tate.
Tate is looking to take a break and control but Belvedere is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tate has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Belvedere defend it? Tate steps over the head and cranks it - Belvedere is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tate!
