Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mo Frazier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 17 - 2, fighting out of London, Roman Yakimyuk! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier swinging wildly here.
Yakimyuk is looking for the big counter here. Yakimyuk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Mo Frazier has been cut. Yakimyuk misses with a hook. Frazier is looking to land body kicks. Frazier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yakimyuk sprawls well. Yakimyuk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frazier gets slowly back to his feet. Yakimyuk misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yakimyuk throws a head kick that misses. Frazier is looking for a counter combo. Yakimyuk jabs at Frazier's body. Frazier takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Frazier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yakimyuk is just riding it out for now. Frazier eventually gives up the hold. A swing and a miss from Frazier. Frazier throws a head kick that misses. Nice cross by Frazier. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Frazier scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Roman Yakimyuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frazier cracks the inside of Yakimyuk's front leg. Frazier avoids the head kick by Yakimyuk.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yakimyuk throws a series of punches but Frazier moves out of range. Yakimyuk drops his hands momentarily and Frazier takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. No joy there for Frazier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Frazier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yakimyuk but Yakimyuk pushes him off and we're back to square one. A punch combination from Frazier misses. Horrible takedown attempt by Frazier or perhaps it was just good defense by Yakimyuk, which made it look bad. Yakimyuk drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Frazier defends it well. Roman Yakimyuk seems to be getting the better of the standup. Frazier gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Yakimyuk. Yakimyuk looks to land a combination but Frazier avoids it well. Yakimyuk misses the jab. Yakimyuk looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Frazier throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Yakimyuk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Frazier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Yakimyuk goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Roman Yakimyuk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Frazier takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Frazier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Frazier attempts a counter takedown but Yakimyuk avoids it well and moves away. Frazier is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yakimyuk. Yakimyuk changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Yakimyuk misses with a low kick as Frazier jumps back. Yakimyuk lands the left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yakimyuk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Frazier walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Yakimyuk scores with a decent looking hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frazier closes the distance and clinches. Frazier wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Yakimyuk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Yakimyuk pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A thudding body kick lands there by Frazier!

A quick step to the side and Frazier tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Frazier turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Yakimyuk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Yakimyuk misses with a low kick as Frazier jumps back. Yakimyuk fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Frazier checks it well. Frazier blocks a low kick nicely. Yakimyuk takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Yakimyuk lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Yakimyuk. Yakimyuk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Frazier avoids the body shot from Yakimyuk.

Frazier throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yakimyuk's waist but Yakimyuk gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frazier off to one side. Yakimyuk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Donk. Yakimyuk catches Frazier right on the button with a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frazier avoids a punch combination nicely.

Yakimyuk tries to buck Frazier off but Frazier is having none of it. Yakimyuk takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Frazier wants to control but Yakimyuk is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yakimyuk struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frazier scores with punches from side control. A lull in the action here. Frazier scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Yakimyuk to see if he's OK. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frazier throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Yakimyuk is looking to regain half guard here but Frazier keeps moving and retains side control. Frazier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yakimyuk, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frazier connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Yakimyuk some visible discomfort.
Roman Yakimyuk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Frazier working the ground and pound but Yakimyuk is defending the strikes. Yakimyuk wants to control but Frazier postures up. Frazier decides to take the fight back to the feet. Frazier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yakimyuk. Yakimyuk looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Yakimyuk uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Frazier. Yakimyuk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Frazier. Mo Frazier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frazier takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sloppy strikes from Yakimyuk. Those never looked like landing. It looked like Frazier wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Frazier misses with a few strikes there.

And that's the end of the fight! Mo Frazier showed his dominance in that final round. I think Yakimyuk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
