Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Seinfeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petr Levkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerry Seinfeld!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Levkin!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seinfeld shoots in and gets a takedown into Levkin's guard.
Seinfeld slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Levkin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Levkin trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Seinfeld not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Levkin controls Seinfeld momentarily but Seinfeld frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Seinfeld pushes Levkin up against the cage in a clinch.
Levkin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Seinfeld has him pressed against the cage.

Levkin pulls Seinfeld into guard.
Seinfeld controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Levkin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Seinfeld won't allow Levkin to get back to his feet.
Seinfeld trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Levkin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Levkin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seinfeld is one step ahead there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Seinfeld content to stall in guard here.

Levkin is working an open guard so Seinfeld takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Seinfeld gets the takedown into side control.
Levkin tries to buck Seinfeld off but Seinfeld is having none of it.
Seinfeld in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Levkin looks to move to half guard but instead Seinfeld has passed into mount! Damn!
Levkin looks winded!

Levkin keeps trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seinfeld tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Seinfeld is looking to stand but Levkin has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Levkin wants to control but Seinfeld is having none of it.

Seinfeld tries to stand up but Levkin had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seinfeld wants to control but Levkin is keeping busy.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Levkin gets a double leg takedown into Seinfeld's guard.

Seinfeld working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Levkin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Levkin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Levkin passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Seinfeld tries to roll over but Levkin keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seinfeld pushes Levkin off looking to stand but Levkin dives back in and keeps control.
Levkin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seinfeld keeps working.

Levkin is looking for a kimura but Seinfeld is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Levkin to get the leverage.

Seinfeld wants to control but Levkin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Seinfeld misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Seinfeld wants to get back to his feet.
Levkin trying to control the action but Seinfeld is working from the bottom.
Seinfeld wants to improve his position but Levkin is controlling well.
Levkin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Seinfeld's head.

Levkin is keen to just control but Seinfeld is a slippery customer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Seinfeld shoots in and bounces Levkin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Seinfeld stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Levkin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Levkin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Levkin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Levkin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Seinfeld sees it coming and defends easily.
Seinfeld knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Levkin on the ground.
Levkin is breathing heavily.

Seinfeld moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Levkin being controlled here momentarily.
Seinfeld keeping moving, preventing Levkin from controlling successfully.

Seinfeld escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Levkin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Levkin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Levkin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Levkin won't allow Seinfeld to get back to his feet.
Levkin throwing strikes but missing.
Levkin wants to control from the top but Seinfeld keeps moving.
Seinfeld keeping full guard, as Levkin tries to pass.
Levkin trying to control but Seinfeld is working from the bottom.

Petr Levkin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Levkin fails with a takedown attempt.

Seinfeld shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Levkin gets full guard.
Seinfeld advances position into side control!

Levkin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Seinfeld creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Seinfeld cracks Levkin with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Levkin can't do much from the bottom here.

Seinfeld thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Levkin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Seinfeld connects with a nice short shot to Levkin's temple.
Seinfeld tries to stand and escape but Levkin is controlling the position.
Levkin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Seinfeld is working away from the top position though.
Seinfeld wants to pass the guard but Levkin is defending well.
Seinfeld is working hard here to advance position.
Seinfeld takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Levkin is trying to get back to full guard.
Seinfeld lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Levkin is in trouble now - Seinfeld has advanced to mount!
Levkin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Levkin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Seinfeld tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Levkin.
Jerry Seinfeld overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Levkin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Levkin has hold of Seinfeld's hands but Seinfeld slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Levkin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seinfeld is aware though and is defending well.

Well Seinfeld has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
