The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Razor lands a jab to the head.
Vieira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Vieira ducks under a wild hook from Razor.
Vieira misses with a low kick.
Razor loads up on a big right hand but Vieira slips the punch.
Sonny Ray Razor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Razor misses the jab.

and Razor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Vieira feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Razors jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Vieira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Razor manages to avoid it.

We've been hearing reports that Vieira has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Vieira stuns Razor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Vieira has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vieira there as he acknowledges the shot.

Razor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vieira.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vieira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Razor's guard.

Vieira wants to work for an arm triangle but Razor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vieira is working for a kimura but Razor is defending it quite comfortably.

Vieira goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Razor rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vieira's guard! Nice work there by Razor!

Vieira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Razor defends it easily.
Vieira utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Vieira is looking for a triangle but Razor pushes his legs off easily.

Razor is looking to stand up but Vieira won't let him.

Vieira is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Razor frees his head nicely. Oh but Vieira has switched to an armbar! Razor is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
