Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kay Won!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Sasha Solzhenitsyn!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Won rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Solzhenitsyn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Kay Won has been cut.
Won throws a right and a left that Solzhenitsyn avoids nicely.
A head kick misses from Won.
Won avoids the head kick by Solzhenitsyn.
Won throws the left hand but Solzhenitsyn avoids the punch easily.
Won sets himself, and Solzhenitsyn steps forward looking for the clinch! Won avoids it this time.
Won uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Solzhenitsyn has time to react.
Solzhenitsyn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Won.
Solzhenitsyn moves out of range as Won strikes.
Solzhenitsyn lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Won throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Solzhenitsyn throws a body kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solzhenitsyn slips a straight right by Won.
As Won backs off Solzhenitsyn throws a huge counter combo but Won manages to avoid it all.
We've been informed that Solzhenitsyn has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Solzhenitsyn.
Won misses with a series of wild punches.
Solzhenitsyn misses with a low kick as Won jumps back.

Won avoids the head kick by Solzhenitsyn.
Nice jab there from Won.
Solzhenitsyn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Won throws out the jab.
Won misses with an uppercut
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Won thinking.
Won lands with a straight right. Solzhenitsyn didn't see that one coming.
Solzhenitsyn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Won.
Won looks to land a body kick but Solzhenitsyn moved away.
Solzhenitsyn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Solzhenitsyn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Solzhenitsyn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick by Won misses
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Won checks a leg kick nicely.
Won thuds a left hand into Solzhenitsyn's body.
Won is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Won throws an off balance right hand
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Solzhenitsyn looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Won misses with a jab to the body
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


Won is rocked!
Won throws a head kick that misses
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Won out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Solzhenitsyn is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sasha Solzhenitsyn!
