Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Tentheros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chelios comes to the cage accompanied by In Waves. Ken Tentheros struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chelios lands a nice looking body shot.
Tentheros connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chelios's hands.
Tentheros dives in for a single leg takedown but Chelios sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tentheros throws a sloppy head kick
and Chelios counters with a three punch combo that has Tentheros backing up. Tentheros nods at Chelios to acknowledge the strikes.
Chelios on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tentheros misses with a hook
and Chelios counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Chelios seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tentheros throws a nice head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chelios thumps Tentheros with a low kick.
Tentheros lands a big head kick that sends Chelios to the canvas! Tentheros follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
