The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Stevenson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Highpants comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
No joy there for Stevenson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Highpants connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Jon Stevenson has been cut.
Stevenson cracks Highpants with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Highpants clobbers Stevenson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Harry Highpants seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevenson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Highpants connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stevenson's hands.

Highpants lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stevenson circles away quickly and effectively.
Highpants sizes up Stevenson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice defenses there by Stevenson.

Stevenson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevenson throws a right hand that Highpants ducks under and follows up with a left that Highpants also avoids with ease.

Highpants steps into range and cracks Stevenson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Stevenson flops backwards and Highpants dives into his guard looking to finish!
Oh Stevenson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Highpants gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Highpants connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Stevenson covering up! Highpants comes in with a big uppercut and Stevenson goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
