Lauderdale comes to the cage accompanied by Phil Collins - Sussudio. Ricky Lauderdale could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nate Sleeper 's chin.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sleeper throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Ricky Lauderdale has been cut.

Lauderdale shoots in for a takedown but Sleeper shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sleeper .

Lauderdale fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sleeper avoids it really well and circles away.
Sleeper drops Lauderdale with a beautiful combination! Lauderdale stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sleeper is looking for the KO!

Sleeper has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Lauderdale will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lauderdale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sleeper , pushing him back against the cage.
Lauderdale keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sleeper 's efforts to push away.
Sleeper tries to pull guard but Lauderdale holds him up against the cage and eventually Sleeper drops back down to his feet.
Lauderdale has Sleeper pressed against the cage, preventing Sleeper from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sleeper wants to break the clinch but can't.

Lauderdale drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sleeper pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sleeper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lauderdale.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sleeper , as that shot connected.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sleeper .

Despite the aggression on Sleeper 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lauderdale seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Sleeper shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Lauderdale is backing up but Sleeper catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Lauderdale covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Sleeper Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
