The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardika changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roberts tries to avoid it but Ardika manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roberts to the ground. Roberts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ardika misses with a takedown
and Roberts counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ardika!
Ardika is looking for a sweep.
Roberts is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ardika knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roberts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Roberts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Roberts tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roberts has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roberts cracks Ardika with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Roberts immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Ardika is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Roberts!
