The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blackheart is fending him off so far but Martinez persists. Nope, Blackheart circles away and we're back to standing.
Martinez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blackheart.
Martinez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Martinez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Martinez drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Blackheart manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Blackheart isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Martinez stacks Blackheart on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Martinez!
Martinez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Blackheart some visible discomfort.
Blackheart tries to buck Martinez off but Martinez is having none of it.

Martinez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blackheart is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Blackheart is trying to control Martinez's posture but Martinez avoids it.
Blackheart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martinez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Martinez has control of an arm but Blackheart manages to advance to Martinez's back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Edmundo Martinez will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blackheart enables Martinez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blackheart manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Blackheart is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Martinez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Blackheart gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Martinez regains guard.
Martinez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Blackheart is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Martinez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Blackheart is looking to defend but Martinez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Blackheart! Martinez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Blackheart taps out and this one is all over!
