Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Murilo Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Cato McGraw!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua tries to clinch up.

Rua closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McGraw punching from the bottom.
McGraw is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
McGraw wants to get back to full guard but Rua has passed into side control.

Rua can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGraw is looking to escape.

McGraw is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGraw is trying to control the position but Rua postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rua postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That was a close round but I would say that Murilo Rua will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGraw tries to score a body lock takedown but Rua shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
McGraw is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rua gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rua lands a knee to the head.

McGraw pulls guard.

McGraw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rua can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rua is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well Rua has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
