Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Campos has chosen Doom and Gloom by The Rolling Stones as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
39 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vince Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Daniel Campos! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Campos misses with a wild body shot. Campos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dixon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Campos tries a low kick but Dixon avoids it. Dixon tries to clinch but Campos is having none of it. Campos looks to land a right hand but Dixon moved out of range. Campos lands with a nice body punch. No joy there for Campos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dixon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Campos. Campos connects with a leg kick. Dixon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Campos getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Campos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Campos avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dixon, right into the meat.

Campos throws a head kick that misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dixon throws an overhand right that lands on Campos's shoulder, as Campos tries to avoid the shot. Dixon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

enabling Campos to counter with a crisp jab. Dixon jabbing away but nothing is landing. Campos is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Dixon with a body shot. A nice inside leg kick there by Dixon. That's going to slow Campos down. Dixon tries for a takedown but Campos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Campos leaves Dixon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dixon throws a sloppy body shot
and Campos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dixon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Vince Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dixon misses with a takedown attempt enabling Campos to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but Campos is just out of range. Left hook, right uppercut from Campos.
It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut. Campos cracks Dixon with an open hand slap. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dixon clinches. Campos is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dixon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Campos has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Campos lands a nice uppercut. Dixon looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Campos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Campos has picked Dixon up - he's going for a ride! Campos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Campos tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dixon. Dixon actively working from the bottom here. Campos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Campos throwing shots but Dixon is blocking nicely. Campos thows a huge punch but Dixon dodges it nicely.
Dixon regains full guard. Nicely done. Campos pushes down on Dixon's leg and manages to get into half guard. Nice strikes from Campos there. Dixon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Campos. Dixon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Campos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dixon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Campos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dixon is looking to improve his position.

Dixon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Campos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Campos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dixon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Campos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dixon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dixon tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dixon is on top in guard.
Campos wants to stand but Dixon is controlling the position. Campos scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Daniel Campos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vince Dixon's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dixon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Campos pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Campos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Campos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dixon lands with a nice body punch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Dixon. Dixon avoids the head kick by Campos.

Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but Campos is just out of range. Campos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dixon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Campos was well out of range. Poor timing from Dixon. Dixon tries to score with a low kick but Campos moves his leg out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campos cracks Dixon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Campos is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Dixon tries to move into range but Campos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Campos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Campos slaps away a takedown attempt from Dixon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Dixon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Campos's guard. Dixon postures up in Campos's guard and throws a big left but Campos blocks it. Dixon advances position into side control! Dixon with the ground and pound but Campos regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Campos avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dixon. Campos makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dixon shoots in looking for a takedown. Campos tries to sprawl out of it but Dixon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Campos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Campos drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dixon defends it well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dixon fails with the takedown and Dixon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dixon slips under a jab. Dixon misses with a body shot.
Campos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dixon. Campos lands a lovely overhand right. Dixon tries for a takedown but Campos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Campos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dixon. Dixon throws a leg kick but Campos sees it coming and moves out of range. Dixon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Campos defends well and Dixon ends up having to push Campos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Campos throws the left hand but Dixon avoids the punch easily. Dixon moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Dixon misses with a wild body shot. Campos doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Dixon is looking to wear down Campos with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Campos jabs Dixon right on the nose. Dixon blinks but takes it well. Dixon fails with the takedown. Campos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dixon.

Dixon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dixon looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Dixon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed right hand from Campos misses the target. Dixon misses with a hook. Campos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dixon tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Campos is able to avoid easily. Dixon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Campos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Campos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dixon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Campos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. They are putting on a show! Campos is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dixon has just dragged him back down to the mat. Campos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The strikes coming from Dixon are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campos is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Our spies down at at The Jungle Elite MMA inform us that Campos has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Dixon looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dixon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dixon wants to control from the top but Campos keeps moving.

Vince Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dixon throwing strikes but missing. Dixon looking to sit in guard and control but Campos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Campos stopping the sweep attempt from Dixon. Dixon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
