Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner comes to the cage accompanied by The Man Who Sold The World. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Conner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Williams!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conner blocks the body kick.

Conner bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Williams's head backwards.
Conner throws a looping overhand right but Williams ducks down to avoid it.

Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Conner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A nice inside leg kick there by Conner. That's going to slow Williams down.

Conner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Williams seems to have recovered his senses.

It looked like Conner wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Daniel Williams will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Williams feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Conners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Conner tries to work over Williams's front leg with a kick but Williams checks it.
Williams fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Daniel Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Good work by Conner as he checks the leg kick.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Conner might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Conner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Conner misses with a straight right.
Conner throws a body shot but no joy.
Williams takes one to the side of the head.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Williams in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Williams scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Conner doesn't seem bothered though.

Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Conner.

and Conner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It's a brutal combination of punches from Conner! Williams is backing up but he can't get away as Conner lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Williams and ends the fight. Great knockout.

After winning the bout, Wayne Conner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
