Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Nasma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nasma's entrance music is AWT - We Are One. A fine choice. Johnny Williams will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Samuel Nasma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Williams! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nasma gets a double leg takedown into Williams's guard. Williams is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Williams has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nasma uses from the top position. Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Williams is on top in guard.
Williams slips nicely into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams wants to pass to mount but Nasma is defending the position. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nasma keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasma is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Williams pulls his head out easily. Williams looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Williams trying to control the action but Nasma is working from the bottom. Williams is looking for a kimura but Nasma is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage. Williams is stalling here. Nasma is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Williams seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nasma has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Nasma in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasma decides to stand back up. Nasma looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Nasma persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Nasma shoots in and gets a takedown into Williams's guard. Williams has his feet on Nasma's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams instigates a clinch. Williams tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Nasma. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nasma is breathing heavily. Nasma is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Williams pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nasma wants to break free but Williams has control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nasma sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Nasma wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand! Williams gets a clinch. Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nasma misses with a takedown attempt and Williams counters with a stiff right hand. A head kick from Williams lands but Nasma takes it in his stride. Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nasma tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nasma to the ground. Nasma escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Williams fails to land the takedown. Nasma shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nasma as he avoids it easily. Williams gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nasma stops a takedown attempt from Williams.
Williams crunches a lovely knee into Nasma's ribcage. Williams slows down the pace here.
Nasma jumps guard but Williams stands there with Nasma around his waist. Nasma gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Williams manages to break the clinch.

Johnny Williams dominated that round. That's time! Nasma's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Nasma shows good takedown defense. Nasma half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nasma changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Nasma manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nasma tries to clinch but Williams moves away and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Nasma shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams counters with a nice body shot. Samuel Nasma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nasma stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nasma wants it to stay on the feet. Nasma tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Nasma. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nasma defends well and Williams ends up having to push Nasma into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nasma feinted with a counter takedown. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Williams shoots for a takedown but Nasma saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nasma shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams counters with a series of strikes. Nasma will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams shoots in for a takedown but Nasma shows good takedown defense. Williams shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nasma wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nasma has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Williams has Nasma pushed against the cage. Nasma tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Williams just stands there and leans against the cage. Williams jumps into guard, dragging Nasma to the mat.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nasma defends well. Nasma tries to stand but Williams is controlling from the bottom.

Johnny Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Williams controlling the position. Williams has momentary wrist control but Nasma slips an elbow through the middle. Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nasma doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nasma manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nasma's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Nasma tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard. Nasma landing some decent shots from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nasma missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nasma gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting. Williams lands with a shot to the body. Nasma shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Williams leaves Nasma with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Williams has Nasma up against the cage in a clinch.
Williams has Nasma pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nasma manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams connects with a nasty looking knee right to Nasma's face.
Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt. Nasma displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Williams. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nasma looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nasma is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Nasma fails to land the takedown. Nasma looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Williams! Williams can't do much from the bottom here. Williams is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Nasma lands some shots froms side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nasma scoring with punches from side control. Nasma tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Nasma throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnny Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nasma wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nasma scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Nasma working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Nasma cracks Williams with a solid left hand. Nasma pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Williams is keeping the position for now.

Nasma throws a big right hand that misses. Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams is keen to just control but Nasma is a slippery customer. Nasma makes his way to full guard, as Williams worked for a kimura.
Williams passes into half guard. Samuel Nasma has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Williams is taking a breather. Nasma says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Johnny Williams. Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
