Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky McColgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McColgan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Gael. Quaid has chosen Total Recall as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid works McColgan's body with a nice hook.
McColgan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quaid changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Quaid moves out of range as McColgan throws a body kick.
McColgan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Quaid.
And McColgan counters with a quick kick to the body but Quaid blocks it.
Quaid ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Quaid tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McColgan was well out of range. Poor timing from Quaid.
McColgan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McColgan misses the shot to the body.
Quaid swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little feinted left hand from McColgan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Quaid cracks McColgan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
McColgan throws the kick towards the body but Quaid avoids it.
Douglas Quaid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A little jabbing left from Quaid on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

McColgan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
McColgan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Quaid has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Quaid throws a hook to the side of McColgan's head but McColgan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Quaid throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McColgan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Quaid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

McColgan throws a lazy right hand but Quaid sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Quaid misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Quaid dives in and grabs McColgan's left leg, looking for a takedown. McColgan pushes down on Quaid's head and hops out.
Quaid is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McColgan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McColgan misses with a wild body shot.
McColgan stuns Quaid with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McColgan looks to land a combination but Quaid avoids it well.
And Quaid tries to counter it with a takedown but McColgan pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Quaid counters with a single leg into guard. McColgan didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McColgan manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by McColgan, under a barage of strikes from Quaid.
McColgan wants to control but Quaid is keeping busy.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Quaid cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Quaid postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! McColgan is out cold - huge knockout for Quaid!
