Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tat Moh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles LaFontier! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaFontier fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Moh looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. LaFontier is looking to score with low kicks. Moh lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A leg kick checked by LaFontier. Moh is looking to take this fight into the clinch. LaFontier instigates a clinch. Moh lands a left hand that snaps the head of LaFontier backwards. We've been hearing reports that Moh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Moh lands with a left to the head. Moh blocks the elbow strike.
A short right from Moh on the inside. Moh blocks a body shot from LaFontier. LaFontier misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Moh wants the takedown. LaFontier is fighting it off but Moh persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in LaFontier's guard against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. LaFontier is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. LaFontier misses with a hook from the clinch.

Moh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics LaFontier uses from the top position. Moh is looking for a triangle but LaFontier pushes his legs off easily.
LaFontier is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Moh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. LaFontier wanted to stand there but Moh had control of the position. LaFontier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moh is keeping the position for now. LaFontier wants to stand and escape but instead Moh has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. LaFontier working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moh. Moh stops LaFontier from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moh trying to control the position from guard on top but LaFontier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. LaFontier has momentary wrist control but Moh slips an elbow through the middle. LaFontier is looking to sweep but instead, Moh has passed into half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Moh is trying to control the action in half guard but LaFontier is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LaFontier is looking for a sweep. Moh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Moh thows a huge punch but LaFontier dodges it nicely.

Moh not landing any meaningful shots this time. Moh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks LaFontier with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. LaFontier wants to control but Moh is keeping busy and won't allow it. LaFontier keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Moh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Moh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. LaFontier is looking for a sweep. Moh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. LaFontier is trying to stand.
Moh wants to control but LaFontier is keeping him busy. Moh is pressing down on LaFontier's thigh, looking to free his foot. LaFontier is holding on for now. LaFontier keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. LaFontier is holding on to half guard well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from LaFontier. Moh darts in and clinches LaFontier up against the cage. Moh has a couple of punches blocked by LaFontier.
Moh lands a body punch. Moh is trying to drag LaFontier to the mat but LaFontier just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Moh blocking some punches.
Moh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics LaFontier uses from the top position. Moh has his foot on LaFontier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. LaFontier works his way back into a safe position though. LaFontier wants to get up but he can't break Moh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Moh looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. LaFontier controlling from the top position. Moh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and LaFontier defends well. LaFontier throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moh controls LaFontier momentarily but LaFontier frees himself. LaFontier wanted to stand there but Moh had control of the position. LaFontier stands up from Moh's guard - LaFontier perhaps looking for a knockout. Moh throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A looping hook to the body misses from Moh. LaFontier does a little dance to reset his feet. Moh sets himself, and LaFontier steps forward looking for the clinch! Moh avoids it this time. LaFontier throws an overhand right that lands on Moh's shoulder, as Moh tries to avoid the shot. Moh misses with a wild body shot. LaFontier looks to land a right hand but Moh moved out of range. Moh thumps LaFontier with a low kick. Moh throws a quick inside leg kick. Moh doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. LaFontier walks into a stiff left hand from Moh. Moh shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. LaFontier looks to score with a jab to the body but Moh is just out of range. Moh throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Despite the aggression on LaFontier's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Moh lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
LaFontier finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action! LaFontier takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Tat Moh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. LaFontier connects with an inside leg kick. LaFontier wants to land a leg kick but Moh is out of range. Moh cracks LaFontier with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Tat Moh is winning the standup battle so far. LaFontier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. LaFontier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moh lands a nice leg kick that just misses LaFontier's sensitive parts. LaFontier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Moh is pressing down on LaFontier's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. LaFontier trying to control the position from guard on top but Moh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LaFontier is looking to stand up but Moh won't let him. Moh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Moh has a closed guard, preventing LaFontier from standing up. Moh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Moh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LaFontier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. LaFontier wants to control from the top but Moh keeps moving. Moh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that LaFontier can do to turn this around? LaFontier tries to free his leg and advance position but Moh is retaining full guard. LaFontier decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jab, jab by Moh - just one landing. Moh has his takedown stuffed and LaFontier counters with a low kick, right behind Moh 's knee. LaFontier has managed to clinch.
Moh lands a right hand. Moh lands with a right to the head.
LaFontier is rocked! Moh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of LaFontier backwards. LaFontier is still on wobbly legs! Can Moh finish him? Moh creates a bit of space for himself and rocks LaFontier with a big uppercut! LaFontier tries to clinch up but Moh pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples LaFontier to the mat! LaFontier covers up and Moh unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tat Moh! As Tat Moh got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. Yet, it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents, as well.'.
