Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Frantz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calus Hora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Frantz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Calus Hora! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hora fakes the leg kick and cracks Frantz in the body. Frantz avoids the head kick by Hora.
Frantz slips a jab and a cross from Hora.
Hora looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Frantz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hora. Hora misses with a takedown and Frantz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Frantz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Horrible takedown attempt by Hora or perhaps it was just good defense by Frantz, which made it look bad. As Hora looks to move away, Frantz throws a big counter combo bu Hora just gets out of the way. Jan Frantz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calus Hora. Hora dodges the punch combination from Frantz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hora darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hora prevents Frantz from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frantz kicks off Hora and gets to his feet. Frantz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Frantz leaves Hora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Frantz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hora doesn't succeed with the takedown and Frantz counters with a right hand to the body. Hora clinches up against the cage. Frantz prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Frantz is looking to break free of the clinch but Hora has double underhooks. Hora has Frantz pressed against the cage, preventing Frantz from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Frantz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frantz fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been told by Frantz's head coaches at Cozad MMA St Petersburg that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hora dives in and grabs Frantz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frantz pushes down on Hora's head and hops out. Frantz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hora backs up against the cage.
Hora with a poor takedown and Hora takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Frantz is breathing heavily. Hora changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frantz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Frantz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hora tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hora tries for a kimura but Frantz is defending well. Hora tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hora has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hora in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hora tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hora lands some shots froms side control. Hora is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Frantz is trying to escape and Hora transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Frantz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hora! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Calus Hora!
