Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, El Matador!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matador shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Miller rushes Matador and presses him up against the cage.

Miller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Miller catches Matador with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
No luck for Matador with that takedown attempt.
Matador takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller takes the fight into the clinch.
Matador goes for a takedown attempt but Miller pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Miller is looking for a kimura but Matador is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage.

Miller is keen to just control but Matador is a slippery customer.
Miller prevents Matador from standing back up.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Matador is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Matador looks like he's trying to stand up.
Miller works his way into side control.
Matador is not content to let Miller control the position.
Matador is trying to buck Miller off.

Matador drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Miller manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Matador has Miller in his guard.

Matador is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Miller dives into side control.

Matador takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
