Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psycho Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Psycho Vaughan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Block! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Psycho Vaughan! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Block there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Vaughan moves into range and connects with a jab. Block tries to score with a low kick but Vaughan moves his leg out of the way. Vaughan now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Block gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Block is on top in guard.
Block trying to stand up but can't free himself from Vaughan's guard. Vaughan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Block has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vaughan is proving hard to escape from. Block postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughan controlling Block's posture. Vaughan controls Block momentarily but Block frees himself. Block wants to stand but Vaughan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Block darts in and clinches Vaughan up against the cage. Block manages to break the clinch.
Block pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vaughan misses with a looping left. Vaughan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughan moves out of range of the leg kick from Block. Block gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Block seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Vaughan throwing strikes but missing. Vaughan trying to control the position from guard on top but Block is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vaughan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Block haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Vaughan connects with a couple of short punches. Vaughan wants to control from the top but Block keeps moving. Vaughan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Block has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vaughan preventing the sweep. Block pulls Vaughan in close to prevent any damage. Vaughan trying to control but Block is working from the bottom. Vaughan won't allow Block to sweep him here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Vaughan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Block swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vaughan slips nicely into half guard. Vaughan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vaughan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Block's head. Block pushes Vaughan off looking to stand but Vaughan dives back in and keeps control.

Block avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vaughan. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Block has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vaughan is working away from the top position though. Block is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vaughan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Psycho Vaughan dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

A jab from Vaughan does it's job there. Vaughan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Block moves away. Block scores with a hook.
It looks like Psycho Vaughan has been cut. Block on the wrong end of a nice jab. Block lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Block connects with a nice looking jab.
Block misses the jab. A swing and a miss from Block. Block fails to land with a series of punches.
Block moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Good leg kick by Block there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vaughan needs to keep his hands up - Block had a free shot at his head there. Block throws the left hand but Vaughan avoids the punch easily. Block misses with a low kick.
Vaughan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Block. Jimmy Block is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughan scores with a hook to the body. Block takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Vaughan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jimmy Block is winning the standup battle so far. Vaughan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Block throws a leg kick but Vaughan moved away. A punch lands to the side of Vaughan 's head but he takes it in his stride. Block connects with a leg kick. Vaughan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A lazy left from Block finds it's target. Block needs to keep his hands up - Vaughan had a free shot at his head there. Block moves away from the strike by Vaughan. Vaughan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Vaughan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. This has been an exciting period of action! Vaughan lands a body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Block as Vaughan shoots in. Block swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Block slips under a jab. Vaughan circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughan lands a glancing blow to the side of Block's head. Vaughan lunges at Block with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Block's hand. Block slips a jab from Vaughan. Block tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vaughan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vaughan works the jab nicely. Block scores with a jab to the head.
Vaughan displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Block is looking to land body kicks. Block blocks a jab. A cross from Vaughan lands. Vaughan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. A jab from Block finds it's way through Vaughan's defenses. Block lands a right hook to the body.
Vaughan swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Block throws a head kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Block smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Vaughan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Vaughan scores with a punch to the head. Vaughan throws a lazy right hand but Block sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Block was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Vaughan misses with a looping right. Vaughan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Block fails in his attempt to clinch. Block throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Block uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vaughan. Block is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Block throws a shot from downtown. Vaughan moves away and avoids it. Block tries a head kick but it misses.
Block tests Vaughan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vaughan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Block takes one to the chin there.
Block is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vaughan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Oh Block is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vaughan lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Block up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Vaughan from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Block's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Psycho Vaughan! An out of breath Psycho Vaughan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
