Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Nogueira Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt comes into the arena with 7 Words blaring out of the sound system. Nogueira Jr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Just Close Your Eyes-Story of the Year. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira Jr misses with a double jab.
Nogueira Jr has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pewterschmidt finds it's way round the side to connect with Nogueira Jr's head.

It looks like Edwin Nogueira Jr has been cut.
No joy there for Pewterschmidt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pewterschmidt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pewterschmidt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nogueira Jr.
Nogueira Jr tries a head kick but it misses.
Nogueira Jr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Pewterschmidt darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pewterschmidt not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pewterschmidt tries to pass to full mount but Nogueira Jr defends it.

Pewterschmidt wants to advance to full mount but Nogueira Jr doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Pewterschmidt wants to control from the top but Nogueira Jr keeps moving.

Nogueira Jr had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pewterschmidt is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nogueira Jr Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pewterschmidt's back instead.
Pewterschmidt looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pewterschmidt rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nogueira Jr wants to take a breather but Pewterschmidt is having none of it.

Nogueira Jr has left one of his arms exposed and Pewterschmidt doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Nogueira Jr screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
