Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darren Reus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ritchie Stone!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reus moves into the clinch.

Reus tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Stone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Stone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reus gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Darren Reus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reus checks a leg kick.
Reus appears to be looking for a big counter.

Stone feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stone throws a series of punches but Reus avoids them all with ease.

Reus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Stone jumps guard and drags Reus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ritchie Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stone wants to stand up but Reus is controlling him.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stone's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.
Reus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
