Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vesa Asikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ling Manchu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ling Manchu will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Vesa Asikainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Ling Manchu! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asikainen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Asikainen shoots for a double leg takedown but Manchu sprawls well. He's pushed Asikainen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Asikainen tries for a takedown but Manchu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Asikainen scores with a takedown into Manchu's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Manchu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Asikainen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nice body kick from Asikainen. Manchu goes for a double leg but Asikainen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Asikainen continues to drive forward. Asikainen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Manchu leaves Asikainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Manchu wants to counter with a clinch but Asikainen pushes him away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vesa Asikainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manchu avoids the head kick by Asikainen.
Manchu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Asikainen sprawls well initially but Manchu persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Manchu content to control rather than advance. Asikainen is trying to stand back up but Manchu is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Manchu performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Manchu throwing shots but Asikainen is blocking nicely. Manchu wants to pass to mount but Asikainen is defending the position. Manchu scoring with strikes to the body and head. Manchu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asikainen wants to get back to full guard. Asikainen is looking to escape. Manchu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Asikainen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Manchu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Asikainen is looking to escape. Manchu throwing shots but Asikainen is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manchu content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Manchu seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Manchu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asikainen keeps working. Manchu not landing any meaningful shots this time. Asikainen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Manchu in particular looking to stall. Manchu is trying to control. Asikainen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Manchu winds up and cracks Asikainen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Asikainen is looking for a sweep. Manchu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Asikainen manages to escape and get back to his feet! Asikainen shoots in looking for a takedown. Manchu tries to sprawl out of it but Asikainen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manchu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asikainen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Manchu. That did some damage! Asikainen looks to land a body kick but Manchu moved away. Manchu tries to counter with a clinch but Asikainen shakes him off and moves away. Manchu moves in looking to clinch but Asikainen pushes him off. No luck with that takedown attempt from Asikainen. Manchu leaves Asikainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Asikainen is breathing heavily. Asikainen dives in and scores a takedown into Manchu's guard. Asikainen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manchu has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Asikainen has passed into side control.
Asikainen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Manchu some visible discomfort.
Asikainen throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Asikainen swings around for an armbar but Manchu sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Asikainen's guard. Manchu looking to pass the guard. Asikainen trying to control the position.
Manchu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manchu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Manchu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Asikainen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Manchu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Manchu throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vesa Asikainen will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Manchu clobbers Asikainen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Manchu doesn't manage to clinch there - Asikainen circles away.
Manchu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Asikainen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Asikainen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Manchu on his heels. He'll look to pass Manchu's guard now, I'm sure. Manchu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Manchu keeping moving, preventing Asikainen from controlling successfully. Asikainen connects with a couple of short punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manchu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Asikainen. Asikainen looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manchu has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Asikainen wants to control from the top but Manchu keeps moving. Asikainen with a nice head shot there. Asikainen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Manchu is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Asikainen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manchu can do anything to dispel that myth. Manchu controls Asikainen momentarily but Asikainen frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Manchu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Asikainen. Manchu stuffs the takedown. Asikainen shoots in looking for a takedown but Manchu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Asikainen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Asikainen dives in for a single leg takedown but Manchu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vesa Asikainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice sprawl there from Manchu as Asikainen shoots in. Manchu slaps away a takedown attempt from Asikainen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Manchu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Manchu wants to control from the top but Asikainen keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manchu passes easily into side control. Nice work. Manchu working the body and head with strikes. The referee asks Manchu politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Manchu prefers to stall for the moment though. Asikainen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Asikainen is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Manchu throws a strike aimed at the side of Asikainen's head but Asikainen avoids it well. Manchu controls the position. Manchu works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Manchu is looking to take a break and control but Asikainen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Manchu working the ground and pound. Asikainen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Manchu is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Asikainen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Manchu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Asikainen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Manchu misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Manchu lands a few punches from side control. Asikainen regains half guard, as Manchu was trying to land strikes. Asikainen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Manchu scores with a couple of nice shots. Manchu controlling the action here. Asikainen trying to control but Manchu postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manchu missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ling Manchu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Asikainen shoots in but Manchu avoids the takedown attempt easily. Asikainen tries for a takedown but Manchu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Manchu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Asikainen tries to avoid it but Manchu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Asikainen to the ground. Asikainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Manchu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Asikainen. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vesa Asikainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manchu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ling Manchu has got the better of the ground game so far. Asikainen is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Manchu landing strikes. Asikainen dodges the ground and pound from Manchu. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asikainen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Manchu lands a nice forearm strike. Manchu is chipping away with strikes.

Asikainen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Manchu is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Manchu working away. Manchu cracks Asikainen with a big elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Manchu landing a few strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manchu landing a few strikes. The referee asks Manchu politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Manchu prefers to stall for the moment though. Manchu in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Manchu grinds an elbow into Asikainen's temple. Asikainen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Manchu keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Manchu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Manchu in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Manchu. Manchu throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Asikainen to regain full guard. Manchu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Asikainen wants to get back to his feet but Manchu is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Manchu sitting in guard here, content to control. Asikainen controls Manchu momentarily but Manchu frees himself. Asikainen is looking to stand up but Manchu isn't so interested in that idea. Manchu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Asikainen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Manchu's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ling Manchu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Manchu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
