Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Winford Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Winford Ortega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre Um! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Um throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Um tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ortega swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ortega gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ortega's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ortega is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Um is defending well. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Um takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Ortega stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ortega goes for a takedown in the clinch but Um prevents it.
Ortega is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ortega for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Ortega has Um pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Um manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winford Ortega. That's going to take a lot out of him. Um taking a breather. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ortega. Um has had enough of the clinch but Ortega keeps him there for the moment. Um goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ortega dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ortega takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Winford Ortega. Um rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ortega moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Um connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Um tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ortega manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A counter left hand to the body from Ortega misses its target. Um will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Um throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ortega on the side of the head.

Ortega throws a counter high kick but Um was just alert enough to avoid it. Ortega misses with a takedown attempt and Um counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ortega! Um tries to stand but Ortega controls the position and pulls Um into his guard. Um missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ortega keeping full guard, as Um tries to pass. Ortega controls Um momentarily but Um frees himself. Um is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ortega is controlling Um's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Um throws an elbow that misses. Ortega uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Um's guard. Nice move by Ortega! Ortega works over Um with some ground and pound from guard. Um has his hands on Ortega's head, controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Um can do anything to dispel that myth. Um wants to control but Ortega passes easily into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Um looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ortega is taking a breather. Um says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Um dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Um tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ortega swats him away and circles back towards the center. It looked like Ortega was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Um. Ortega circles away from the clinch attempt.
Um tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ortega manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Um throws a body kick that misses. Um keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ortega changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Um looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ortega tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Um can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Um wants to get back to his feet. Ortega trying to control the action but Um is working from the bottom. Um tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Ortega will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Um is trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Um is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ortega gets his way!

Um is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Winford Ortega is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
