Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaarlo Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kaarlo Sonni has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kaarlo Sonni seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis throws a body kick that misses
and Sonni connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sonni scores with a nice right hand.
Pettis walks into a left hand.
Pettis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sonni's head.
Pettis throws a head kick that misses.
Sonni lands with a hook. Pettis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Pettis shoots in but Sonni avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pettis tries to clinch but Sonni moves out of range.
Pettis shoots in looking for a takedown. Sonni tries to sprawl out of it but Pettis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sonni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pettis tries for a takedown but Sonni sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kaarlo Sonni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Pettis.
Sonni cracks Pettis with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Pettis looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sonni finish him?
Pettis is rocked!
It looks like Antonio Pettis has been cut.
Sonni is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Pettis flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Pettis is out cold! Sonni holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kaarlo Sonni!
