Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres comes to the cage accompanied by Aqualung - Jethro Tull. Marshall has chosen I Shot the Sheriff by Eric Clapton as his entrance music. Riley Marshall is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ludwig Manres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riley Marshall! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manres walks into a left hand. Marshall lands with a nice combination. Manres backs away looking to recover. Marshall throws a head kick but Manres moves out of range.
Marshall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Manres drives through with a takedown into guard. Manres chips away with some ground and pound. Manres drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Marshall dives on top into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Marshall trying to control the position from guard on top but Manres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marshall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Manres is keeping the position for now. Marshall is stalling in the full guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Manres controls Marshall momentarily but Marshall frees himself. Marshall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Marshall trying to control but Manres is working from the bottom. Manres has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Marshall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Marshall is looking to work some ground and pound but Manres has wrist control. Marshall stopping the sweep attempt from Manres. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Marshall pushes down on Manres's leg and manages to get into half guard. Marshall seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Manres has recovered full guard. Manres preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Manres keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully. Marshall looking to sit in guard and control but Manres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Manres throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manres lands a couple of elbows. Marshall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Manres sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marshall's guard. Manres wants to pass to mount but Marshall is defending the position. Marshall with the active half guard here but Manres passes nicely into side control. Manres working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manres is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marshall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Marshall tries to bench press Manres off him but Manres keeps the position. Manres tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Marshall is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manres landing a few strikes. Marshall is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ludwig Manres will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A slow jab from Marshall misses its intended target. Manres feinted with a counter takedown. Marshall fails with the takedown. Marshall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Manres to the ground. Marshall is now in Manres's guard. Manres is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marshall is aware though and is defending well. Marshall looking to sit in guard and control but Manres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Marshall looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manres postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Marshall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Manres throws a big right hand that misses. Manres throwing strikes from guard but Marshall blocks nicely. Manres trying to control but Marshall is working from the bottom. Manres is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Marshall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Manres postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Marshall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marshall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Manres defends well.

Manres wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving. Marshall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manres doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manres manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Manres has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marshall working for a triangle but Manres defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Manres pulls his head out easily. Ludwig Manres overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marshall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marshall. Marshall working for a triangle but Manres defends it easily.
Manres working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marshall's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Manres is looking to pass into half guard but Marshall pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Marshall is in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manres swivels though and keeps the full guard. Manres trying to keep a closed guard but Marshall is proving a slippery customer.

Marshall trying to control but Manres is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marshall looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ludwig Manres will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Marshall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manres moves away. Manres seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Marshall misses with a head kick.
Marshall lands with an overhand left. Marshall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Marshall throws a jab but it's blocked by Manres. Marshall looks to throw a body kick and Manres counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marshall won't be happy with that. Marshall tries to buck Manres off but Manres is having none of it. Marshall manages to work his way to half guard, despite Manres's best efforts. Manres wants to control but Marshall is keeping him busy. Marshall is trying to stand back up but Manres is controlling him
Marshall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Marshall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Manres working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marshall keeps working. Manres drops an elbow to the side of Marshall's head. Manres thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Marshall wants to control but Manres is keeping busy and won't allow it. Manres works his way into side control. Manres tries to move to full mount but Marshall actually manages to regain half guard. Manres working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Marshall's thigh. Marshall counters though and makes it back to full guard. Marshall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manres pushing down on Marshall's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Marshall is looking for a sweep. Manres is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Manres frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Marshall is squirming around, avoiding Manres's attempts to control the action. Marshall is in a horrible position here. Manres smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manres lands a nice shot to the head.
Marshall is rocked! Marshall is squirming around, avoiding Manres's attempts to control the action. The referee warns Marshall that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Marshall is still in real trouble! Can Manres finish him? Manres is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Marshall can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Manres connects with a bit shot that sees Marshall covering up! More strikes from Manres and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Manres is our winner by TKO!
