The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raul fails in his attempt to clinch.
Raul tries to clinch but Ferrara moves out of range.
Raul changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ferrara tries to avoid it but Raul manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ferrara to the ground. Ferrara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maicol Raul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Raul shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferrara looks like he's trying to stand up.
Raul prevents Ferrara from improving his position.
Ferrara controlling the position well.

Ferrara is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Raul has latched onto it... Big trouble! Raul pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Ferrara is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Raul!
