The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jibby closes the distance and pushes Lebo back into the cage.

Jibby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jibby gets caught napping as Lebo dives in and scores a takedown. Jibby manages to retain guard.
Jibby is trying to control the position but Lebo postures up.

Jibby is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lebo is looking to stand up but Jibby won't let him.

It looks like Lebo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jibby tries to clinch there but Lebo circles away.
Lebo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lebo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jibby napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jibby moves into the clinch successfully.

Lebo has clasped his hands together around Jibby's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Jibby bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Lebo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lebo misses with a head kick.
Jibby went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Lebo throws the kick towards the body but Jibby avoids it.
No joy there for Lebo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jibby goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Lebo avoids the head kick by Jibby.
Jibby shoots for a takedown but Lebo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jibby changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lebo tries to avoid it but Jibby manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lebo to the ground. Lebo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lebo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jibby, pushing him back against the cage.
Jibby stops a takedown attempt from Lebo.

Lebo has Jibby pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jibby manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lebo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Jibby tries to break the clinch but Lebo is controlling the position.

Lebo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jibby stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jibby wants it to stay on the feet.

Jibby shoots in and bounces Lebo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lebo can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lebo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jibby is on him like a limpet, forcing Lebo back against the cage.
