Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jude Mathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yegor Zaitzev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jude Mathis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yegor Zaitzev! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zaitzev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Zaitzev misses with the combination.
Mathis appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Zaitzev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mathis moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch combination from Zaitzev misses. Zaitzev lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Zaitzev throws a right and a left that Mathis avoids nicely. Zaitzev works over Mathis's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Jude Mathis has been cut. Zaitzev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mathis. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zaitzev throws a right and a left that both miss. Zaitzev misses with a two punch combination.
Yegor Zaitzev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zaitzev stalks Mathis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mathis's face. Mathis staggers backwards, shaken. Zaitzev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mathis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Zaitzev is looking to get back to his feet here but Mathis is keeping cool and he's managed to take Zaitzev's back. Mathis is looking for the choke from the back position but Zaitzev is controlling his hands well. Mathis tries to get the hooks in deep but Zaitzev pushed the leg off. Mathis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Zaitzev defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Good control from Mathis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mathis trying to control. Mathis patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Mathis looking for the choke but no joy. Mathis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Zaitzev defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaitzev is trying to get back to his feet but Mathis has full control of the position and if anything, Zaitzev has just worked his way into a worse spot. Mathis looking for the RNC. Mathis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mathis is looking for a rear naked choke here but Zaitzev reverses the position brilliantly into Mathis's guard!
Mathis wants to get back to his feet but Zaitzev passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mathis is trying to stand.
Mathis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zaitzev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zaitzev's back! Mathis looking for the choke from the back. Zaitzev defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Mathis wants to stand up but Zaitzev is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yegor Zaitzev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jude Mathis's cut. That's time! Mathis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zaitzev misses with a few strikes there.
Mathis appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Zaitzev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mathis circles away quickly and effectively. Zaitzev throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mathis counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Zaitzev throws a nice looking combination but Mathis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A punch combination from Mathis misses. Zaitzev throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mathis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zaitzev won't be happy with that. Mathis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Zaitzev rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mathis's guard! Nice work there by Zaitzev! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mathis is looking to stand up but Zaitzev isn't so interested in that idea. Zaitzev is breathing heavily. Mathis looking for a sweep. Not yet Mathis, not yet. Jude Mathis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Mathis trying to strike off his back.
Mathis working for a triangle but Zaitzev defends it easily.
Zaitzev won't allow Mathis to get back to his feet. Zaitzev gets to his feet - Mathis follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zaitzev feints a jab promting Mathis to slip. Zaitzev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mathis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Zaitzev has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zaitzev misses with the combination.

Mathis throws a big counter combination but Zaitzev scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Mathis throws a wild hook but Zaitzev just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Mathis gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Zaitzev raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yegor Zaitzev!
