Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between San Cristobal Fuente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, San Cristobal Fuente! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Fuente misses the target. Fuente fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Fuente persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fuente sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva defending well though. Fuente seems to be looking for submissions.

Fuente has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva wants to get back to his feet. Silva won't allow Fuente to pass to mount. Silva gets full guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fuente throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuente has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fuente's guard. Fuente is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuente looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Silva passes into side control.
Fuente can't do much from the bottom here. Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fuente is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fuente is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva wants to control but Fuente is keeping him busy. Fuente is looking to reverse the position. Fuente is breathing heavily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fuente can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fuente connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fuente shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fuente showed some decent athleticism there. Fuente is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Fuente looking to pass the guard. Silva trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fuente has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fuente throws his legs up looking for a submission but Silva uses it to pass to side control.
Silva looks up at the clock and then as Fuente takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Silva smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Silva stands up and beckons Fuente to his feet. Silva shoots and misses and Fuente counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Fuente stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
San Cristobal Fuente dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fuente fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva fails with the takedown and Fuente counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt. Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Fuente. Fuente sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Silva is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuente works his foot free and advances to mount. Fuente working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay. The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fuente is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva! Fuente wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Silva is now in half guard. Fuente with the active half guard here but Silva passes nicely into side control. Fuente can't do much from the bottom here. Fuente is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Silva is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuente wants to control but Silva is having none of it. Fuente tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control. Fuente reaches up to try and control the position but Silva seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fuente rolls and tries to escape and now Silva has his back!

Silva is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Fuente defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Silva is trying to stick to Fuente's back but Fuente is turning into Silva. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Silva's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fuente.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fuente landing some decent shots from guard. Fuente postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fuente is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control. Fuente trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fuente is controlling him. Fuente slips nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
San Cristobal Fuente dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Silva with a lazy takedown attempt so Fuente counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fuente throwing strikes from guard but Silva blocks nicely. Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fuente advances position into side control! Fuente wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Silva on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fuente moves into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuente controlling from mount. Fuente avoids the attempt from Silva to control. San Cristobal Fuente overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fuente is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Silva is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Silva flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Fuente anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Silva and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Fuente slips an arm under Silva chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Fuente has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Fuente is squeezing on Silva like an anaconda would it's prey. Silva fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
