Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scamus Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scamus Kilpatrick is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Scamus Kilpatrick !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Wates!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates blocks a head kick by Kilpatrick .
Wates fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kilpatrick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kilpatrick has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wates tries to pull guard but Kilpatrick won't allow it.

Kilpatrick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wates should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kilpatrick or perhaps it was just good defense by Wates, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wates throws a right and a left that Kilpatrick avoids nicely.
Wates tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kilpatrick counters with a right hand to the body.
Kilpatrick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wates pinned against the cage. Wates gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scamus Kilpatrick . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wates circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kilpatrick misses with a lunging right hand
and Wates cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wates shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kilpatrick as he avoids it easily.

Wates misses with a takedown attempt - Kilpatrick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wates.
Kilpatrick changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kilpatrick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wates tries to avoid it but Kilpatrick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wates to the ground. Wates escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wates shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kilpatrick is looking to get back to is feet but Wates passes into side control.
Kilpatrick is breathing heavily.

Wates landing a few strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kilpatrick tries to bench press Wates off him but Wates keeps the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wates decides to stand back up. Wates steps back and let's Kilpatrick get back to his feet.

Wates can't break the clinch.
Wates fails to pull guard.

Wates breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kilpatrick is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wates sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wates throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wates throws a leg kick but Kilpatrick sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kilpatrick drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wates sprawls and moves away.

Kilpatrick gets caught flat footed, as Wates shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wates trying to control the position from guard on top but Kilpatrick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wates working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kilpatrick keeping moving, preventing Wates from controlling successfully.
Wates trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Wates stands and throws Kilpatrick 's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kilpatrick closes the distance and pushes Wates back into the cage.

Wates thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kilpatrick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wates on the ground.
Wates stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kilpatrick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kilpatrick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wates is one step ahead there.

Wates trying to control but Kilpatrick is working from the bottom.

Kilpatrick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kilpatrick isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wates stacks Kilpatrick on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wates!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wates wants to control but Kilpatrick is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wates scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kilpatrick to see if he's OK.
Wates cracks Kilpatrick with a big elbow.

Wates has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Wates clinches with his opponent.

Wates jumps guard and drags Kilpatrick to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Wates is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kilpatrick defends well.

Wates lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Kilpatrick seems keen to control Wates's posture.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wates stands up from Kilpatrick 's guard - Wates perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kilpatrick is looking for a counter combo.
Kilpatrick stuffs the takedown attempt from Wates. Wates gets slowly back to his feet.
Wates tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kilpatrick swivels and escapes.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Harry Wates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Wates shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kilpatrick sprawls well. Kilpatrick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wates gets slowly back to his feet.

As Kilpatrick backs off Wates throws a huge counter combo but Kilpatrick manages to avoid it all.

Kilpatrick is trying to control the position but Wates postures up.
Kilpatrick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kilpatrick tries to get out of the position.

Harry Wates is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
