Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kizeal Ingram! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinshaw takes the fight into the clinch. Ingram makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kinshaw lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ingram blocks a body shot from Kinshaw. Ingram blocking some punches.
Ingram breaks the clinch.
Ingram slips a straight right by Kinshaw. Kinshaw has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mello MMA in the buildup to the fight. Ingram on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ingram takes one on the button. Kinshaw closes the distance and pushes Ingram back into the cage. Kinshaw tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Ingram wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kinshaw throws a punch but it's blocked by Ingram. Ingram managing to block the knees to the body from Kinshaw.
Kinshaw lands an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ingram manages to break the clinch.
Kinshaw thuds a left hand into Ingram's body. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ingram!
Ingram throws a right hand that misses
and Ingram takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ingram avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab by Kinshaw. Ingram punishes Kinshaw's body with a nice straight punch. Ingram lands with a straight right. Kinshaw didn't see that one coming. Ingram swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kinshaw connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ingram. Ingram circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kinshaw moves out of range of the strikes. Ingram misses with a series of wild punches.
Ingram shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kinshaw manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kinshaw avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ingram drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ingram jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ingram thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ingram is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ingram accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ingram is pushing down on Kinshaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kinshaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Ingram has managed to sneak the leg through. Kinshaw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kinshaw tries to get out of the position. Ingram looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kinshaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ingram is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kinshaw has managed to free his arm - good work. Ingram has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ingram is trying to work for a kimura but Kinshaw is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingram is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ingram seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kinshaw does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kinshaw tries to roll over but Ingram keeps him under control. Ingram is looking to advance position but Kinshaw won't allow it. Kinshaw is refusing to be controlled, as Ingram sits in half guard. Ingram is working for a submission of some sort.

A close round but Kizeal Ingram will probably get the nod. That's time! Kinshaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kinshaw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kinshaw listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Ingram lands a nice shot that snaps Kinshaw's head back.
Ingram shoots in but Kinshaw avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kinshaw is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kinshaw stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A looping hook to the body misses from Ingram. Kinshaw does a little dance to reset his feet. Ingram takes a shot right to the bread basket. A left lands for Kinshaw. Ingram loads up on a big right hand but Kinshaw slips the punch. Kinshaw throws a good cross that connects.
Kinshaw throws the left hand but Ingram avoids the punch easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice shot lands for Kinshaw. Ingram swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Good shot there by Ingram. Ingram takes one to the chin there. Kinshaw scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ingram doesn't seem bothered though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ingram shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kinshaw but Kinshaw pushes him off and we're back to square one. A little feinted left hand from Kinshaw on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kinshaw takes a swing at Ingram's ribcage but misses. Kinshaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ingram. Karter Kinshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kizeal Ingram. Kinshaw ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ingram moves away. Ingram misses with a looping right. Kinshaw moves in looking to clinch but Ingram pushes him off. Kinshaw misses with a looping right. Kinshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ingram.
Ingram connects with a body shot that sends Kinshaw's belly button to the back. Ingram blocks a jab. Ingram moves away from the strike by Kinshaw. Ingram tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kinshaw defends well and Ingram ends up having to push Kinshaw into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ingram moves out of range of the strikes. Kinshaw keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ingram. Ingram scores with a nice right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ingram shoots in but no luck this time. Kinshaw lands a nice hook to Ingram's body. Ingram takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ingram cracks Kinshaw with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Karter Kinshaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ingram closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kinshaw quickly recovers to half guard. Kinshaw trying to control but Ingram postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingram missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ingram trying to control from half guard but Kinshaw is working away. Ingram is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ingram is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kinshaw doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ingram. Ingram frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ingram tries to control but Kinshaw wriggling away. BOOM! Ingram connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That was a close second round but I would say that Karter Kinshaw will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
