Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Pozsgai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reima Maansiirto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pozsgai comes to the ring accompanied by PC Park - Klatka. Stefan Pozsgai has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stefan Pozsgai! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Reima Maansiirto! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maansiirto shoots in looking for a takedown. Pozsgai tries to sprawl out of it but Maansiirto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Pozsgai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Maansiirto feints and as Pozsgai raises his hands in defense, Maansiirto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Pozsgai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Maansiirto. Pozsgai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Maansiirto throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pozsgai works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pozsgai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Maansiirto passes Pozsgai's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Maansiirto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pozsgai defending well though. Pozsgai is controlling Maansiirto's position as best he can from this difficult position. Maansiirto stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. The fighters circling - Pozsgai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maansiirto misses with a takedown attempt - Pozsgai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Maansiirto fails with a takedown attempt. Stefan Pozsgai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reima Maansiirto. Maansiirto shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Maansiirto was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Maansiirto pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Maansiirto looking to ground and pound but Pozsgai is blocking nicely. Pozsgai is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Maansiirto wants to control the pace but Pozsgai is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai is looking to improve his position but Maansiirto isn't that keen on the idea. Maansiirto looking to secure an arm triangle but Pozsgai defends it well. Pozsgai tries to hold on but Maansiirto pushes him away. Maansiirto jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pozsgai is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pozsgai and Maansiirto has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Maansiirto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pozsgai can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maansiirto laying and praying for a moment but Pozsgai takes advantage and regains half guard. Maansiirto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maansiirto is looking to take a break and control but Pozsgai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pozsgai is controlling Maansiirto's position as best he can from this difficult position. Maansiirto not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pozsgai stuffs the takedown. Reima Maansiirto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Pozsgai as Maansiirto shoots in. Maansiirto throws a nice looking combination but Pozsgai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Maansiirto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pozsgai. Pozsgai moves into range and connects with a jab. Pozsgai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maansiirto ducks right into an uppercut from Pozsgai. Maansiirto looks to land a combination but Pozsgai avoids it well. Pozsgai digs a good body shot into Maansiirto's ribs. Maansiirto looks gassed! Pozsgai throws a big shot that misses. Pozsgai tries to bum rush Maansiirto with a series of wild strikes but Maansiirto uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pozsgai cracks Maansiirto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Pozsgai lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pozsgai. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pozsgai lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai lands with a right hand.
Maansiirto is rocked! Pozsgai steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Maansiirto is out on his feet! Pozsgai sets himself and nearly takes Maansiirto's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Stefan Pozsgai! Stefan Pozsgai retains his lightweight title!
