Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Winford Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kabanos Swojski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swojski has chosen Die Toten Hosen - Hochzeitspolka as his entrance music. Kabanos Swojski has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Winford Ortega's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortega scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Ortega is trying to get an arm triangle but Swojski is defending well.
Ortega remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Swojski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ortega wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ortega really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swojski seems a little lost for a moment, as Ortega dominates the positioning.
Swojski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ortega wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Swojski manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Ortega wants to get back to his feet.
Ortega tries to stand and escape but Swojski actually recovers to full guard.
Ortega's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ortega's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ortega drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ortega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swojski on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortega slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ortega seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Swojski for as long as he can get away with.

Swojski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ortega avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ortega wants to control from the top but Swojski keeps moving.
Swojski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Swojski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ortega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ortega manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Swojski has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ortega should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Swojski has tightened it up now! Ortega should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
