Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gus Bradley! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chico Morales! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morales misses with a straight right. We've been informed that Morales has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Morales throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bradley has taken the fight to the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Bradley. Morales has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bradley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Our sources have told us that Bradley has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Morales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Morales scoring well with a low kick there.
Bradley lands a head shot. Bradley closes the distance and clinches. Morales escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Morales throws a looping overhand right but Bradley ducks down to avoid it. A solid body kick from Bradley. Gus Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bradley pushes off an throws an elbow but Morales leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Bradley lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Morales takes an elbow to the forehead. Morales is trying to drag Bradley to the mat but Bradley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Bradley lands an elbow inside that Morales shrugs off.
It looks like Chico Morales has been cut. Bradley is leaning against Morales and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Morales is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bradley lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nice elbow from Bradley. Bradley comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Bradley lands an elbow that stopped Morales in his tracks for a moment. Morales can't get the takedown.
Gus Bradley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chico Morales. Bradley lands a damaging elbow. Bradley creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Morales's defenses.
Morales is rocked! Morales takes a shot to the head. Morales is still on wobbly legs! Can Bradley finish him? Morales avoids the elbow strike from Bradley, against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bradley dips a shoulder and cracks Morales with a mighty uppercut! Morales falls back against the cage and Bradley unloads with a barrage of strikes! Morales is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bradley screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
