The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon slips a jab and a cross from SmokeGodd.
SmokeGodd tries for a takedown but Cannon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
SmokeGodd shoots in and drives through. Cannon sprawls well.
SmokeGodd has a takedown stuffed.
Gaylord Cannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haze SmokeGodd.

It looks like Gaylord Cannon has been cut.
Cannon slaps away a takedown attempt from SmokeGodd, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cannon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon has managed to clinch.
Cannon misses with a knee strike.
SmokeGodd throws a knee to the head but misses.

Cannon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

SmokeGodd clinches up against the cage.
Cannon prevents the takedown attempt.
SmokeGodd leaning against his opponent.

Cannon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice takedown defense from Cannon. No joy for SmokeGodd on that attempt.
Cannon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Cannon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but SmokeGodd moves away.
SmokeGodd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cannon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cannon just misses with a punch to the body.
Despite the aggression on SmokeGodd's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Cannon clinches with his opponent.
Cannon lands a knee to the body.
SmokeGodd looks winded!

Cannon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed SmokeGodd clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cannon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. SmokeGodd is defending well though. Cannon let's go of the attempt for now.
