The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manjuelez misses with a head kick.
Ruzic replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Manjuelez blocks it well.
Ruzic circles away from the clinch attempt.
Manjuelez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ruzic. Ruzic obviously looking to wear him down.
Ruzic ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Manjuelez misses with a leg kick
and Ruzic counters with a three punch combo that has Manjuelez backing up. Manjuelez nods at Ruzic to acknowledge the strikes.
Ruzic throws a body punch but Manjuelez moves out of range.

Manjuelez looks for the body kick but Ruzic saw that one coming.
Ruzic connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Manjuelez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruzic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ruzic flicks out a counter leg kick but Manjuelez steps away.

Ruzic follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

As Ruzic looks to move away, Manjuelez throws a big counter combo bu Ruzic just gets out of the way.
Manjuelez takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Manjuelez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Ruzic lands with a kick to the temple. Manjuelez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Manjuelez tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Manjuelez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A shot to the liver by Ruzic. Beautiful body shot.
Manjuelez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Ruzic connects with a solid leg kick.
Ruzic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Manjuelez's half guard.
Manjuelez wants to stand back up but Ruzic manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruzic tries to advance to mount but Manjuelez denies him.
Ruzic passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Manjuelez!
The referee warns Manjuelez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ruzic is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Manjuelez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ruzic looking to control but Manjuelez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Manjuelez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Ruzic on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ruzic dips a shoulder and cracks Manjuelez with a mighty uppercut! Manjuelez falls back against the cage and Ruzic unloads with a barrage of strikes! Manjuelez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ruzic screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

After winning the bout, Josip Ruzic thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
