Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lacroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cousteau feints and as Lacroix raises his hands in defense, Cousteau changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cousteau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cousteau postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cousteau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lacroix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cousteau is nestled in close to Lacroix, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Cousteau is looking to advance position but Lacroix won't allow it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cousteau is keen to just control but Lacroix is a slippery customer.

Lacroix is looking to take a break and control but Cousteau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cousteau might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lacroix displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cousteau throws out the jab.

Cousteau takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lacroix tests Cousteau's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cousteau is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lacroix can do to turn this around?

and Lacroix counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Cousteau is out cold! A devastating KO!
