Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonqw Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Al Haddad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Elias Al Haddad! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fray misses with a looping left. Al Haddad moves out of range of the strikes. Al Haddad looks like he wants to counter punch here. Al Haddad misses with an uppercut. Fray saw that one coming. Al Haddad fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fray manages to avoid it. Fray wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fray fails with the takedown. Al Haddad on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fray. Fray obviously looking to wear him down.
Al Haddad misses with an uppercut. Al Haddad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Al Haddad pushes Fray up against the cage in a clinch. Fray goes for a takedown attempt but Al Haddad pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fray lands a lovely overhand right. Jab from Al Haddad. A swing and a miss from Al Haddad. Al Haddad slips under a jab from Fray. Al Haddad wants to counter with a clinch but Fray pushes him away. Elias Al Haddad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fray shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Al Haddad tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Fray has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Al Haddad after a bit of a struggle. A short uppercut from Al Haddad. Fray is looking to score with knees to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Al Haddad darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Al Haddad swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fray attempts a counter takedown but Al Haddad avoids it well and moves away. Al Haddad throws a big shot that misses. Al Haddad is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Al Haddad cracks Fray with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fray lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Fray takes a swing at Al Haddad's ribcage but misses. Al Haddad wants to counter the offense by Fray and move into the clinch position. A punch combination from Al Haddad misses. Fray dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fray swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fray's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Al Haddad connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fray scrambles back to his feet. Al Haddad connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Fray lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Al Haddad connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A swing and a miss from Al Haddad. Fray missing with a left hand there. Al Haddad was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Al Haddad connects with a crisp jab. Fray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Al Haddad moves away. A decent looking cross lands there for Fray. Al Haddad might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Fray fails with a takedown attempt. Fray drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Fray staying out of range there. Fray moves out of range as Al Haddad strikes. Al Haddad slips a jab from Fray. Al Haddad throws a right and a left that Fray avoids nicely. Al Haddad throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Al Haddad moves in looking to clinch but Fray pushes him off. Al Haddad keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elias Al Haddad dominated that round. That's time! Fray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Al Haddad lands the left hand. Al Haddad takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fray throws a sloppy body shot
and Al Haddad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fray drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Al Haddad misses with a straight left. Nice uppercut lands for Al Haddad. That snapped Fray's head back.
Fray shoots in and gets a takedown into Al Haddad's guard. We've been hearing good reports from Fray's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fray passes into half guard. Fray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Al Haddad defends well and Fray ends up having to push Al Haddad into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Al Haddad! But no joy. Fray tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Al Haddad is able to avoid easily. Al Haddad looks to throw the jab but Fray is out of range. Fray staying out of range there. This has been an exciting period of action! Fray thumps Al Haddad with a low kick. Elias Al Haddad seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fray has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fray there as he acknowledges the shot. Fray tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Al Haddad is able to avoid easily. Al Haddad stuffs the takedown attempt from Fray. Fray gets slowly back to his feet. Al Haddad pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fray back to the cage. Al Haddad follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

You can see the frustration on Al Haddad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fray cracks Al Haddad with a big right hand but Al Haddad just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

A close second round but Elias Al Haddad will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fray shoots for a double leg takedown but Al Haddad sprawls well. He's pushed Fray's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Al Haddad clobbers Fray with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Fray lands with an overhand left. Al Haddad misses with a double jab.

Fray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are working up against the cage. Al Haddad manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Fray wants to control from the top but Al Haddad keeps moving. Fray postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Al Haddad wants to sweep but no luck. Al Haddad wants to stand up but Fray is controlling him. Fray is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Haddad has wrist control. Al Haddad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fray regains full guard. Nicely done. Al Haddad with a flurry of punches that miss. Fray trying to keep a closed guard but Al Haddad is proving a slippery customer.

Elias Al Haddad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Al Haddad swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Elias Al Haddad is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Fray takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Al Haddad wants to clinch up but Fray keeps it at a distance. No luck for Fray with that takedown attempt.
