The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Jones.
Edberg lands with an uppercut that bounces Jones off the cage and back into rage.

It looks like Cockpunch Jones has been cut.
Edberg avoids the head kick by Jones.
Nice combo by Edberg! Oh, that's hurt him - Jones falls to the canvas and Edberg follows him into side control.

Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edberg is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Edberg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Jones is pressing down on Edberg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Edberg is one step ahead there.

Jones is trying to control the position but Edberg postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Edberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Edberg.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Edberg tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Edberg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Edberg takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Edberg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones looks gassed!
Edberg lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That has opened up Cockpunch Jones's cut even more.
Edberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Edberg darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A head kick by Edberg - that's a beauty! Jones is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Edberg can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
