Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Itshak Rabinovitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Mattos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Itshak Rabinovitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter Mattos!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Rabinovitch throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mattos tries to counter by closing the distance.
Mattos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mattos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rabinovitch.
Rabinovitch takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rabinovitch loads up on a big right hand but Mattos slips the punch.
Mattos wants to land a leg kick but Rabinovitch is out of range.
Mattos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mattos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rabinovitch sets himself, and Mattos steps forward looking for the clinch! Rabinovitch avoids it this time.
Mattos throws a big shot that misses.
Rabinovitch misses with an uppercut.
Mattos throws a head kick that misses.
Mattos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rabinovitch. That did some damage!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mattos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Mattos moves into the clinch.

It looks like Walter Mattos has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mattos looking to slow down the pace here.
Rabinovitch scores with a hook to the body.

Rabinovitch throws a knee to the head but misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mattos.
Mattos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Rabinovitch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mattos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rabinovitch throws a jab when Mattos was well out of range.
Rabinovitch feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mattoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Mattos doesn't manage to clinch there - Rabinovitch circles away.
Rabinovitch has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Ground Zero in the buildup to the fight.
Mattos lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mattos throws a leg kick that misses.
Mattos moves out of range of the body kick from Rabinovitch.
Mattos misses with a head kick.
Rabinovitch lands a head kick!
Rabinovitch takes a swing at Mattos's ribcage but misses.
Mattos throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rabinovitch counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rabinovitch throws a low kick but Mattos avoids it.
Mattos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mattos throws a head kick that Rabinovitch semi-blocks.
Mattos tries to work over Rabinovitch's front leg with a kick but Rabinovitch checks it.
Mattos moves out of range of the strikes.
Mattos throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rabinovitch scores with a hook.
A head kick by Mattos misses
and Rabinovitch counters with a body kick.
Mattos looks winded!

Rabinovitch lands a big head kick that sends Mattos tumbling to the mat! Rabinovitch takes a step backwards and waves Mattos back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Mattos is rocked!
Rabinovitch ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mattos's jaw. Mattos's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rabinovitch does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Itshak Rabinovitch!
