Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willem Karel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ross Rossi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Willem Karel! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rossi misses with a two punch combination.
Rossi throws a right and a left that Karel avoids nicely. Rossi feints a jab promting Karel to slip. Rossi then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Karel slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Karel pushes Rossi up against the cage in a clinch. Karel fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rossi jumps guard and drags Karel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rossi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rossi tries to get out of the position. Rossi has control of Karel's left arm, preventing Karel from doing any damage. Rossi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Karel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rossi is keeping the position for now. Rossi pushes Karel off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossi tries to bum rush Karel with a series of wild strikes but Karel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rossi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Rossi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rossi duly obliges. Rossi misses with the combination.
Karel shoots in but no luck this time. Rossi cracks Karel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Karel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rossi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Karel somewhat. Ross Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willem Karel. Karel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karel just misses with a punch to the body.
Rossi tries to bum rush Karel with a series of wild strikes but Karel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rossi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Karel wants to clinch up but Rossi keeps it at a distance. It looked like Rossi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Rossi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rossi sets himself, and Karel steps forward looking for the clinch! Rossi avoids it this time. Karel is looking to clinch but Rossi is avoiding it.
Rossi tries to bum rush Karel with a series of wild strikes but Karel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Karel slips a jab and a cross from Rossi.
Karel lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Rossi tries to close the distance and clinch but Karel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Karel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Karel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rossi counters with a lovely shot to the body. Karel looks winded! A head kick misses from Rossi. Rossi misses with a few strikes there.
Karel wants to clinch. Rossi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Rossi. No joy for Karel on that attempt. Rossi swats away the attempt to clinch by Karel. Sloppy strikes from Rossi. Those never looked like landing. Karel is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Karel shoots in and drives through. Rossi sprawls well. Karel tries to close the distance and clinch but Rossi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karel shoots for a double leg takedown but Rossi sprawls well. He's pushed Karel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rossi tries to land a leg kick but Karel saw it coming and moves away.
Karel tries to counter by closing the distance. Rossi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Karel on the side of the head. Rossi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Karel's head. Rossi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rossi throws a right and a left that Karel avoids nicely. Rossi pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rossi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Rossi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Karel slips a jab and a cross from Rossi.
Rossi cracks a nice hook into Karel's ribs. Rossi lands a really nice looking cross but Karel seems unphased.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ross Rossi dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rossi throws a head kick that misses. Rossi misses with a double jab
and Karel counters with a flying knee. Nice. Rossi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rossi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ross Rossi is winning the standup battle so far. Rossi connects with a body shot that sends Karel's belly button to the back. Rossi drives through with a takedown into Karel's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rossi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Karel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rossi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Karel wants to stand and escape but Rossi is having none of it. Rossi chips away with some ground and pound. Rossi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rossi looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rossi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Karel's head. Karel is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Karel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rossi as he jumps to the side. Rossi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Karel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rossi swivels and escapes. Rossi clinches up with Karel and pushes him back against the cage. Rossi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Karel lands with a nice body kick. Rossi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Karel moves out of range as Rossi throws a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karel misses the shot to the body. Rossi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Ross Rossi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rossi lands with an uppercut that bounces Karel off the cage and back into range. Karel slips a jab and a cross from Rossi.
Karel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ross Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willem Karel. Rossi connects with a right hand. Karel shakes it off. Rossi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. This has been an exciting period of action! Rossi throws a right and a left that both miss. Rossi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Karel can do to turn this around? Rossi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rossi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karel circles away quickly and effectively. Some wild striking there from Rossi.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rossi circles away. Karel fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Karel fails with a takedown attempt. Karel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rossi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. It looked like Rossi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. The crowd cheers as Rossi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Karel doesn't seem phased though. Nice combo by Rossi! Oh, that's hurt him - Karel falls to the canvas and Rossi follows him into side control.
Karel is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karel taking punishment in the form of punches.
Karel is still in real trouble! Can Rossi finish him? Karel is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rossi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Karel seems a little lost for a moment, as Rossi dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rossi works to advance to full mount. Karel defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Karel seems to have recovered his senses. Rossi landing strikes from the mount and Karel is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rossi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Karel is forced to tap!
