Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kidd blocks a head kick by Van Damme.
Van Damme keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jean Paul Van Damme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Damme scores with a shot to the body.
Kidd goes for a double leg but Van Damme avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Van Damme continues to drive forward.
A head kick misses from Van Damme.
Kidd takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Van Damme lands a head kick. Kidd smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Olen Kidd has been cut.
Kidd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Van Damme as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Damme thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kidd if he has to take too many more of those.

Van Damme moves into range and clinches up with Kidd.

Van Damme will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kidd up against the cage.

Van Damme tries to work over Kidd's front leg with a kick but Kidd checks it.
Kidd has his takedown stuffed
and Van Damme moves into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olen Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kidd is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Van Damme digs a right hand into Kidd's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kidd's gas tank.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kidd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Van Damme manages to break the clinch.
Oh Kidd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Van Damme connects with a right that clearly hurt Kidd. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Van Damme proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kidd collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Paul Van Damme!
