Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dump Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dump Liddel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Richardson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Liddel fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Richardson misses. Liddel checks a low kick from Richardson. Richardson throws a looping overhand right but Liddel ducks down to avoid it. Richardson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Liddel counters with a takedown into side control. Liddel working the ground and pound but Richardson is defending the strikes. Richardson regains half guard, as Liddel was trying to land strikes. Liddel wants to stand up but Richardson is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Liddel has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Richardson works to full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Liddel's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Richardson controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Richardson working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Liddel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Richardson has his feet on Liddel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Liddel shoots in and drives through. Richardson sprawls well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Richardson throws a right and a left that Liddel avoids nicely. Nice shot lands for Richardson. No luck for Liddel with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dump Liddel will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Liddel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Richardson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Richardson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Liddel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Richardson.
Richardson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Liddel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richardson tries to avoid it but Liddel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richardson to the ground. Richardson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Liddel takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Richard Richardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richardson but Richardson pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dump Liddel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Liddel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Richardson counters with a two punch combo. Richardson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Richardson moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Richardson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Liddel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Richardson.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Richardson lands a shot to the body. Richardson lands with a short head shot on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richardson keeps control of Liddel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Richardson stalling in the clinch.
Richardson receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Richardson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Richardson swings and misses with a shot to the body and Liddel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Liddel. Richardson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Liddel manages to get himself to full guard.
Richardson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Richardson drives through and clinches with Liddel against the cage.
Richardson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richardson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Richardson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Liddels head. Liddel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Richardson scores with a nice short uppercut. Richardson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Richardson lands with a short shot to the head. Richardson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Liddel. Richardson lands a body shot in the clinch.
Richardson pushes Liddel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Richardson. Richardson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Liddel backwards. Richardson breaks from the clinch.
Richardson cracks Liddel with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Liddel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Richard Richardson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Richardson misses the shot to the body. Richardson has closed the distance and engaged Liddel in a clinch.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Richardson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Richardson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Liddel or not. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Richardson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
The is referee keeping an eye on Richardson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. A short body shot lands from Richardson as the two fighters clinch.

Richardson stalks Liddel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Liddel's face. Liddel staggers backwards, shaken. Richardson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Richardson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A slapping leg kick lands for Richardson.
Liddel needs to keep his hands up - Richardson had a free shot at his head there. Richardson catches Liddel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Richardson moves into the clinch. Richardson gets through Liddel's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Richardson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Liddel. Liddel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Richardson is stalling here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Richardson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Richardson presses Liddel against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Richardson is working Liddel over against the cage. Richardson lands a body shot in the clinch.

Richardson digs a right hand into Liddel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Liddel's gas tank. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Richardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Richardson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Liddel takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Richardson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Richardson throws a wild body kick that Liddel sees coming a mile off. Liddel tries for a takedown but Richardson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liddel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Liddel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Richardson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Liddel is looking to stand up but Richardson won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Richardson is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Liddel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Richardson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Liddel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Richardson's back instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Richardson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Richardson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
