Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Virgilio Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maykan Jardim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virgilio Davidson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Virgilio Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maykan Jardim! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davidson shoots in looking for a takedown. Jardim tries to sprawl out of it but Davidson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jardim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A nice side step and Jardim releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Davidson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jardim tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jardim closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davidson's guard. Davidson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davidson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jardim engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jardim advances position into side control! Davidson is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jardim controlling the position from side mount. It looks like Jardim might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Jardim's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Jardim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jardim wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davidson, who protects the arm well. Jardim is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Davidson's shoulder. That is not cool.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jardim throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davidson was covering up waiting for the punch and Jardim finishes the takedown easily into guard. Davidson is looking to stand back up but Jardim counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Davidson. Jardim sitting and controlling from the half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maykan Jardim dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Davidson shoots in for a takedown but Jardim shows good takedown defense. Davidson shoots for a takedown but Jardim saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jardim closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davidson quickly recovers to half guard. Jardim content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Davidson is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Davidson looks for a takedown but Jardim sprawls well. Jardim looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Virgilio Davidson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jardim shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jardim was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jardim is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Davidson's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jardim is continuing to stall. Jardim postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Davidson tries to buck Jardim off but Jardim is having none of it. Jardim content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Davidson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Jardim slows the pace down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maykan Jardim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Jardim slaps away a takedown attempt from Davidson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jardim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davidson's half guard. Jardim content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The adventures of Jardim the control monster continue. Boring.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davidson. Davidson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jardim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davidson somewhat. It seemed like Jardim was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Virgilio Davidson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jardim gets a double leg takedown into Davidson's guard. Jardim makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jardim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jardim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Maykan Jardim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jardim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Maykan Jardim! A very excited looking Maykan Jardim rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
