Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammie Sears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jardim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Jardim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammie Sears! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Jardim! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sears gets caught napping as Jardim dives in and scores a takedown. Sears manages to retain guard. Jardim won't allow Sears to get back to his feet. Jardim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sears is trying to keep Jardim in close.
Jardim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sears wants to stand up but Jardim is controlling him. Jardim preventing the sweep. Sears might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jardim's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sears wants to get back to his feet but Jardim is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jardim is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It looks like Jardim might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sammie Sears seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sears fails with the takedown. Jardim displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sears.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jardim circles away from the clinch attempt so Jardim counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sears looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jardim is one step ahead there. Jardim stops Sears from standing up. Sears can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jardim controls the pace. Sears lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jardim wants to stand and escape but Sears is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jardim has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sears off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sears enables Jardim to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sears manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sears kicks Jardim off and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sears tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jardim swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jardim tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Sears clinches with his opponent.
Jardim is trying to stall.

Jardim gets the takedown into side control. Sears wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Jardim is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sears's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jardim is continuing to stall. Sears tries to get back to half guard but can't. The referee asks Jardim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jardim prefers to stall for the moment though. You can see the frustration on Sears's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jardim happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sears is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jardim is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sears will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sears is looking to regain half guard here but Jardim keeps moving and retains side control. Sears struggling a bit here. Jardim moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Jardim dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sears wants to stand but Jardim is controlling the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jardim controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sears tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jardim counters with a takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jardim just content to control the position. Sears can't do much from the bottom here. The referee asks Jardim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jardim prefers to stall for the moment though. Sears is looking for a sweep. Jardim controls the position. A control attempt from Sears but he's now mounted! Jardim controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sears slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Jardim is controlling the pace.

Sears is looking for a sweep. Jardim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jardim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sears tries to kick Jardim off but Jardim keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jardim controlling the pace. Jardim is thwarting Sears's attempts to control the position. Jardim slows the pace down in half guard. Jardim's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jardim drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sears is letting Jardim control him for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Jardim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

It's preventing any offense from Jardim, at least for the moment. Jardim controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sears is trying to control the position but Jardim postures up. Sears wants to get back to his feet but Jardim is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sears being controlled here, momentarily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sears tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jardim swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jardim lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sears looks for a takedown but Jardim sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammie Sears. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sears tries to clinch there but Jardim circles away.
Sears tries for a takedown but Jardim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jardim changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sears looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sears is being controlled here.

Let's hope that Jardim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sears manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jardim's best efforts. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Well, if Jardim is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Sammie Sears has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Michael Jardim is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jardim moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Sears.
