The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanchard gets tackled into the cage by Westernfield. Westernfield maintains the clinch.
Westernfield wants the takedown. Blanchard is fighting it off but Westernfield persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Blanchard's guard against the cage.
Westernfield is standing up over Blanchard. Blanchard looks to escape but Westernfield dives into side control.
Westernfield wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blanchard, who protects the arm well.
Westernfield looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Westernfield thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Westernfield has hold of Blanchard's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Blanchard seems comfortable defending it but Westernfield has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Blanchard is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Blanchard is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Westernfield couldn't care less - he's delighted!
