Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Kordic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Kordic! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Quinn! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinn connects with a body shot. Kordic closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Quinn jabs Kordic right on the nose. Kordic blinks but takes it well.
It looks like John Kordic has been cut. Kordic fails with a takedown attempt. Quinn is trying to counter with his kicks. Joe Quinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quinn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kordic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quinn won't be happy with that. Quinn is trying to control Kordic's posture but Kordic avoids it. Kordic trying to control the action but Quinn is working from the bottom. Quinn takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
It looks like Joe Quinn has been cut. Kordic wants to control but Quinn is keeping him busy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Quinn parries the strikes from Kordic easily there. Kordic is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Quinn to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kordic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kordic lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Quinn down.
Quinn tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Kordic easily slips into full mount! Kordic lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Quinn is rocked! Kordic loads up with a big shot that hurts Quinn! He's pulled Kordic in close but Kordic has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Quinn survive? More strikes from Kordic and Quinn is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Kordic! John Kordic retains his light heavyweight title! John Kordic seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
