The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikolov missing with a left hand there. McGuire was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McGuire has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Thunder MMA in the buildup to the fight.

McGuire drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nikolov sprawls and moves away.
McGuire dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nikolov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
McGuire moves out of range of the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGuire takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nikolov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGuire.

McGuire slips a straight right by Nikolov.
Nikolov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McGuire counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Nikolov to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by McGuire!
