The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathews drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Carson Mathews has been cut.
Womack Jr tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Womack Jr's coach down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Womack Jr's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Womack Jr misses the shot to the body.
Mathews slips under a jab.
Womack Jr swings for the body but Mathews moves out of range.
Womack Jr with a hook.
Mathews misses the shot to the body.
A slow jab from Womack Jr misses its intended target.
Mathews really is a fat lump.
Womack Jr cracks Mathews with a good jab.
Mathews is rocked!
Mathews takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mathews fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mathews pulls out of a head kick attempt.
BOOM! Womack Jr lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mathews. Mathews tries to recover but Womack Jr is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mathews lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Womack Jr!
A very excited looking Ken Womack Jr rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
